A story about friendship, about sorrow, acceptance, pain, beauty, faith, trust, the vagueness of reality. It will be beautiful, it will be ugly, it will shock and it will rock. All we have is the moment. The audience will have purely the one moment we show them, and they can cuddle up in it, or they can stare at it from across the room with horror in their eyes.
The first scene, my baby, will be the mood setter. Simplicity. One chair, one person. Lights. One bath tub, another person. The very scene that began everything. The whole process of thinking, planning, brainstorming. For me, the first scene summarizes beauty, simplicity, authenticity, pain, hardship. Excruciating beauty.
Excitement, and fear. The ideas we have are great. In fact, they are more than great, more like overwhelmingly mind-boggling. The execution has to be as good, it cannot ruin the beauty of the ideas we have. We have to act well, we have to know our characters, we have to become our characters.
And the dance routines. They have to be perfect. Not perfect in the commonly known way, perfect in my way. And I want it my way.
